CCNTX
Community Connections North Texas is a nonprofit formed in 2019 to support United Advocates and the IDD community in North Texas. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit.
United Advocates
United Advocates is a Fort Worth group run by and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). United Advocates is a chapter of Texas Advocates. United Advocates has existed since the 1980s.

What Drives Us
Our goal is to get people out of the house!
Current events include:
- Wednesday meetings that focus on health and wellness, volunteering (snack packs), socializing, life skills, plus arts and crafts.
- Friday Zoom meetings
- Annual trip to Texas Advocates conference
- Social activities and field trips: movies, dinners, zoo, State Fair of Texas
- Individual support for self-advocates and their families, including information and referral, transportation and anything else that improves their quality of life (volunteer basis)
